Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Review

Almost everyone hates the three newer Star Wars movies. This is quite simply the best review I have ever seen explaining why the first one specifically sucks scene by scene. There are 7 parts total, and this is just the first. I definitely didn't think I'd be watching 70 minutes of this, but it really well thought out and pretty funny. I'd recommend at least watching the first, and then watching the others should you like it.

    red letter media does a good rage review. i liked episode one :( then again i was its target age range. the other two are a bag of shit

    Its like watching a movie about how bad another movie is. I think I prefer to Mystery Science Theater these kinds of movies.

    To Eiriklol2k: I agree. There are worse movies. The sad part is that after what we got with A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and the Return of the Jedi, they really could have tried putting more thought into it.

    Later into this review, I think he states the real problem of the movies, that George Lucas came up with the script, and nobody challenged him on anything. There probably wasn't a lot of discussion and scrutiny and input from others, it was probably almost purely George Lucas with little constructive input or criticism from his producers or actors. The movie might have been okay, but to from The Return of the Jedi to stagnant characters and Jar Jar Binks, with a kind of boring and unclear story, it's pretty disappointing.

    yeh all three of these are some of the funniest things I have ever seen. I think while the first one was funniest, as you said he really starts getting into the nitty gritty of why the movies suck in the later reviews and it is so obvious once he has said it.
